About the Role:
This role is responsible for maintaining and managing harmonious industrial/employee relations in the South Zone, especially in Warehouse Facilities located in Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, etc., along with Last Mile Assets. The individual is required to possess hands-on HR & IR experience in dealing with Labor Laws-related matters, strikes/protests, and also with external stakeholders such as local politicians, union leaders, government authorities, Labor/PF/ESIC office proceedings, etc. They should have handled a large number of contractual and blue-collar workforces. Based on management requirements, they are also required to front-end discussions on behalf of the company with government authorities like the Labor Office, PF, and ESIC, etc
About the team:
ER & IR support is provided to all business assets in the respective Zone, which includes Warehouse-Fulfillment Centers, Sorting Centers, and a large number of Delivery Hubs, Cross-Docks, etc. The team also works in close association with the Zonal HRBP, Zonal Operations Team, Business Leaders, Vendor Partners, Government Relations, Legal, and Compliance Team, along with other stakeholders as required.
You are Responsible for:
- To devise the regional ER-IR strategy in line with organizational ER-IR strategy and execute the same in collaboration with regional business & HR teams and in consultation with central teams
- Advising and supporting business in matters related to Strikes, Retrenchment, Facility Closures, and other legal issues related to manpower.
- Developing ER-IR capabilities of Executives, Supervisors and Vendors(Manpower Contractors) by conducting focused training sessions on IR, Labour Laws Compliances, Contract Labour Management, and External Stakeholder Management etc
- Conducting IR and Labour Laws Compliance Audit of Facilities to identify potential risk and sensitizing Stakeholders for possible solves.
- To capture employee pulse at each facility and provide structured feedback to the leadership team on a periodic basis
- To liaison with external stakeholders such as local influencers, politicians and government authorities.
- Conducting HR or Ethics Case Investigations and advising management on probable action as per defined SOP and Code of Conduct. Monitoring of disciplinary related matters in the zone and creating awareness about disciplinary action process in line with stipulated Laws and Labour related Compliances.
- Regular connect with Zonal Leadership Team which includes operations, Security, Government Relations and HRBP to ensure deliverables basis ER-IR charter.
- To front end discussion with Government Authorities like Labour, PF, ESIC, District Administration etc
To succeed in this role you should have the following:
- 9 to 14yrs of experience
- Power point presentation and excel
- Hands on experience w.r.to proceedings related to Labour Office, PF and ESIC Authorities.
- Good experience in dealing matters related to Strikes/protest and Industrial Disputes.
- Understanding of compliance w.r.to Contract Labour Management.
- Good command over labour laws especially S&E Act, Factory Act, CLRA Act, ESIC Act, EPF Act, S&E Act, Bonus etc
- Communication and interpersonal skills
- Negotiation and Stakeholder Management Skills
